Derek was born and raised in Galway, Ireland. He started his academic career by qualifying with a Higher Certificate in Physiology and Health Science from Carlow Institute of Technology. He went on to graduate as a Physiotherapist in Newcastle, UK, and has furthered his education by qualifying as a physiotherapist therapist in Canada. He is the founding partner of Physiotherapy@Woodbridge and thereby ensures the company meets the standards of Rules of Professional Conduct outlined by the Ontario College of Physiotherapists.
Since becoming a physiotherapist, Derek has amassed a wealth of knowledge and experience working in clinics in Ireland, the UK, and Canada. Derek is McKenzie-trained and also has participated in a number of post graduate courses including Deep Dry Needling, Vestibular Rehabilitation, TMJ Dysfunction, Mulligan Technique, and Kinesio Taping.
Dr. Dave was born and raised in Northern Ontario. She completed her undergrad in Biotech at the University of Ottawa, and went on to study medicine at the University of Toronto. Her residency training in Anaesthesiology was also obtained at U of T. Doctor Dave is a staff anaesthesiologist at Mackenzie Health in Richmond Hill.
Dr. Banwait was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. He completed his undergraduate degree with honours in Kinesiology at the University of Guelph-Humber and a Diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion. He went on to receive his Doctor of Chiropractic, Cum Laude, from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Dr. Banwait takes a comprehensive evidence-based approach to all his patients and uses a variety of hands-on techniques, modalities, rehabilitation exercises and education to assist his patients to achieve their goals. In his spare time, you can find Dr. Banwait lifting weights at the gym and playing the guitar.
Tony was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. He completed his Bachelors degree with Honours in Kinesiology at York University. He then completed his diploma at Sutherland-Chan school of Massage therapy. Tony takes a very holistic approach to treatment and believes that movement is key in healing and rehab. He uses a variety of techniques that include manual therapy, cupping, exercise and stretch therapy to help patients achieve their goals through the rehab process. When Tony has free time, he enjoys going to the gym, and playing volleyball.
